Stewardship as a way of life - giving back for all God has given us.

Trinity’s Stewardship Statement

The Clergy and Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church are committed to the biblical principal of stewardship and believe that the tithe—giving the first 10% of our financial resources to God—is the normative practice for Christians. The Clergy and Vestry are percentage givers and are all either tithing or taking specific steps toward achieving that goal. We invite every household in the parish to join us in faithful stewardship by calculating what percentage of their resources that they give to God and by developing a plan to become tithers.

DONATIONS TO TRINITY TRUST ACCOUNT

Did you know that you can make a tax-deductible donation to Trinity’s Trust Account? We established the Trinity Trust to invest donations that are outside the regular budget year income. The yearly income from our trust funds is given to the parish to use for buildings and grounds, worship expenses, and other expenses approved by the vestry. We have used it for special projects, such as the renovation of the Education Building in 2020-2021, and we borrowed from the funds this past year for our columbarium project. The trust has been a blessing to us, and as we look into the future to those needs we cannot anticipate, we’re grateful to have it available.

Thank you to the parish members who serve as trustees and help manage these funds with the assistance of Will Trapp from Morgan Stanley. Last year the trust funds produced $34,385.00 in interest that was given to the church.

If you are interested in donating (check, stocks or in your will) or would like more information please contact me, Sheila Shelton by email (sshelton@hiwaay.net) or by phone 256-740-1291.
